Stimulus Stimulating

I received my stimulus check last Saturday. No, I did not elect to have it direct deposited into my bank account. Yes, I am a little obsessive in that I want to see the check to know I received it.

Initially, I wanted to slot the money for savings... you know, to sort of stick it to W. Ha! My stimulus check will not be used to stimulate the economy, W! Ha!

But... the TINWA household decided instead to use it to buy me a bike. It's a sweet Trek 7100 Series. I purchased it Monday. Take a gander:



The remaining money I am putting towards my Jeep's outstanding balance. So I am using my stimulus check for green purposes. Boo! oil and gas prices!

It would be the second smallest car in the United States at 138 inches. The car, however, gets up to 40 mpg, only being out-efficiencied by hybrids.

Meet the Chevrolet Beat. GM is considering mass producing it for the American market.

I say go for it. I'd trade in my Jeep Cherokee Sport straight up. I suggest using the voice over guy from the Micro Machines spots for the theoretical Beat spot. Awww, micro machines.
