It's A Long Way to the Top

Iowa giveth. Iowa taketh away. What's with the dramatics? Well, the same state that planted the seed making BHO as POTUS possible, is home to the school that ended PSU's hopes of a 2008 football national championship. Penn State moreso choked/gave the game away, but... I digress.

That being said, if I had to choose, I would definitely, 100% choose BHO as Prez over an undefeated PSU football season. Heck, I didn't even go to Penn State.

But, Mr. H is coming to town this evening and tomorrow he, LRK and me are trekking up to soggy State College to catch the Nittany Lions pick up the pieces v. Indiana (a fellow blue state). Circumstances could be better for Mr. H's first PSU game, but fun will certainly be had. First, I have the best parking spot secured that I've ever had for a PSU game. I'm also going to try to finagle some Prospector's ribs/bbq pre-game, and afterwards we are slated for Foccia Luna goodness. All Penn State (and specifically Daryll Clark) have to do is not suck.

Seriously, un-"Awesome" Morelli killed Penn State Saturday. The coaching staff didn't do PSU any favors, either. You simply must get athletes like Derrick Williams and A.J. Wallace touches. Saturday's game at the horseshoe brought back memories of pre-2005 Penn State. Not a good thing.

And I think we've found our next DB worthy of the "Toast" nickname (previous dishonorees include Anwar Phillips) - Tony "Toast" Davis! Troy Smith (who still can't pass) continuously victimized the dude with "passes" to an open Brian freaking Robiskie. Wtf?

Sure PSU has positives in Tony Hunt, a gelling O-line and a stalwart defensive front 7. But they need to address or let the shackles off Morelli (or insert Daryll Clark - yay!), get the ball to their legit playmakers and bench Toast Davis.
