Watch Mor Football

Two of my favorite things - Chick-fil-A and college football - will further collide this season with the news that Chick-fil-A is becoming a sponsor of ESPN's College Gameday. Note to ESPN: more Chick-fil-A, less Big & Rich.

Yes, I snapped a pic of the Chick-fil-A stand at Falcon Stadium when LRK and I visited.

+ Huzzah! Dunn is done in the 'nati. Finally, my three least favorite (or most despised) Reds are now ex-Reds. Fyi, that's - in order - Sean Casey, Adam Dunn and Ken Griffey, Jr. Up next, Crusty Baker, Corey Patterson and Adam Harang.

Value-Sized #5 Combo, Please

My man Blah Blah (or maybe a new name - redesign developing...) put a bug in my ear that TINWA has recently become college sports-centric. I performed a quick audit and noticed his word was bond: six out of my last seven posts dealt with college athletics. So...

Thursday was a historic day. A new, stand-alone Chick-fil-A franchise opened in Mechanicsburg (the greater LRH metro area), in a quaint, little gargantuan shopping complex. The C-f-A opening certainly generated buzz, as over 100 people lined up in anticipation of the doors opening.

Sadly, I was not one of them.

But, LRH and I do plan to visit tomorrow for lunch. I will definitely have my eye on the Mechanicsburg C-f-A, to see if it lives up to its sister franchises in Lionville and Downingtown.

CP3 approves of the new C-f-A opening.

Fast Food Lunch Ruminations

Fast food joints are a dime a dozen. Back in the good ol' days, Brett, Flood and I (and assorted others) hit our fair share of KFC, Popeyes, BK, KFC and even the occasional Chick-fil-A. One of the few upgrades from my old job to my new job is the existence of a more solid, convenient and cleaner Chick-fil-A base. Within a 10 mile distance from my office, there are 3 Chick-fil-A's: 1.) the Exton Square Mall Food Court; 2.) the Lionville FSU; 3.) West Chester U.

The Lionville FSU is supremely superior to the others. Quite possibly, it may be the greatest individual fast food franchise ever! To start, it is roomy and very clean. Second, the attendants (both drive-thru and eat-in) are extraordinarily nice, courteous and polite. They introduce themselves by their first name and have a very friendly tone. Even the dudes. The food is served quickly and is always warm and crisp. And, on Saturdays during the NFL season, the Lionville C-f-A allows its employees to sport Eagles gear to work. Nice on all fronts!

The only downside is they do not accept Discover. But other than that, a trip to the Lionville FSU Chick-fil-A is a trip worth taking. What a nice and relaxing lunch break. If only I could enjoy it with Brett, Flood and the assorted characters now.
