Three surefire subjects that will bring me out of a blogging slump are Ron Franklin, Chick-fil-A and a movie I want to see.
Last night, after watching American Gladiators, I was looking for something to occupy my 9:00 PM time slot. Upon my daily work routine of checking Zap2It for the evening's tv listings, I saw Kansas v. Oklahoma was on the mothership. Since I've met LRH, I've been slightly more in tune with Big XII sports. I decided watching the #3 team in the nation taking on the squad that beat Huggie's 'Neers and took The Beas and K-State to the limit was worth my time. I was definitely in it to win it when I heard Ron Franklin's dulcet tones broadcasting the game. For my money, Franklin is one of the top play-by-play guy's in the land concerning college football and basketball. I still remember Franklin and Mike Gottfried calling ESPN's Saturday night primetime college football - that was the best. These days Franklin calls college football on the deuce in the early evening timeslot, but he's still ESPN's go-to guy for Big XII hoops. He, Fran Fraschilla and Holly Rowe form a great, entertaining and insightful trio.
This afternoon, I was "searching" the internet and found that Chick-fil-A is coming to the Harrisburg area! And since I'll be moving to Harrisburg in mid-to-late April, this news was met with great excitement. C-f-A will be located on Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg - my old stomping grounds. I will definitely make the trip to the West Shore for some sweet Chick-fil-A action!

When I was little, I would always try to catch a Godzilla movie on like channel 17, 57 or one of those minor league nets. Anyway, within the last week or so, reports and reviews from screenings have been trickling in, along with descriptions of the mysterious, yet-to-be-revealed monster. Now my interest level is at its peak. I've spent a number of hours, more than I care to admit, searching the internet for reviews, spoilers and images of the monster. The flick opens Friday, and I'm considering seeing it over lunch. A perfect storm of opportunity is occurring at work to allow this possibility, not the least of which is a major cineplex less than 5 minutes from my place of employ. Developing...
