Yes, this weekend I am reaching deep down, being brave and heading back up to Penn State to watch the swirling Nittany Lions battle Iowa. Joining me will be BAH - LRH's brother - who arrived from out-of-town last night.
Whoa, you might say, have you even met LRH's brother before? No, I have not. But, LRH and BAH are heading down to the LC this evening for First Friday where we will dine at The Pressroom's Steinman Park. It's an LRH fav. So, with any luck, BAH and I will get along swimmingly tomorrow for the trip up to State College, what could be an excrutiating game and the drive back to Harrisburg. I don't know why I'm giving it too much thought, really. Perhaps it is because I know how I can be when I meet one of my sister's boyfriends for the first time. Mr. H says BAH and I should get along famously, however, because we both like sports and computers. I'm not one to argue with Mr. H. So we'll leave it at that.
Onto the game. I'm setting pretty low expectations. Is an offensive touchdown too much to ask? Hopefully I can see Wallace, Williams, Butler and Quarless be a little bit electric, but nothing coming out of OutOfTouchPa and Moron-elli leads me to believe I'll get anything but a glimpse. Maybe at least the Nittany Lion will do his Michael Jackson Thriller dance routine? It is October, after all. Go Lions?
