The Devil Wears Prada

Other than the worser than worse previews and a protagonist that really isn't, Prada was an entertaining, enjoyable, bubblegum flick.

Streep was very good in Prada, playing Vogue Editor Anna Wintour-based Miranda Priestly. Streep's Priestly was the star of the show, and to me, became more of the protagonist than Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs character. Priestly also delivered some catchy quips.

Anyway, The Devil Wears Prada was decent and summer fun. Although "downgrade" to the movie theater for no Jujyfruits. C'mon! $8.50/ticket and no Jujyfruits? That's unAmerican.

Finally... Todd-tastic picks up where Bruce Bond and the Late Afternoon Show left off. What Movie talk! I'll add A Prairie Home Companion to my list just to find out exactly what Minnesotan flavor tastes like. It'll take some convincing for the wife to join me though. She's still stinging from the last movie we watched - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - as recommended by Todd-tastic.

Minnesotan flavor is sort of Fargo-ish, but without the murder (basically the accents and midwestern "down homeness".

Prairie Home Companion is much different than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Although I liked them both. Prairie Home gives you much less to think about...except for the whole angel/Dangerous Woman thing.
