Sports!

The more I see Syracuse, the more I have difficulty accepting the 'Cuse going into Cincy and beating the Bearcats by 19 January 14. They're just not that good. Syracuse has no consistent low post threat. Watkins, McCroskie, Joe Schmo? And without that threat in the post, Gerry McNamara is just another stop-and-pop guard who can't beat anybody off the dribble. Plus, if Pitt, led by the bricklayer that is Karl Krauser (Karl Krauser a two? Are you kidding me?), goes off for 80 on you, Syracuse can't really rely on its famed 2-3 zone "d" to win them too many games. Granted, Syracuse was UC's first full game post-Armein, but please! No way is Syracuse 19 points better than a depleted Cincinnati squad.

I really don't like to write about hockey. I mean, who cares. But Mario Lemieux is set to re-retire today (2:00 pm presser). But enough about Mario - I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more Ovechkin. Dude needs some furniture, though (I've seen previews).
