LCTCB Pleeze

I received a "Final Notification Letter" Saturday from the Lancaster Country Tax Collection Bureau stating they had not received my 2005 tax filing and that if they didn't receive my filing by October 15 they would proceed with prosecuting me.

As Angie Tempura would say, "B!!!!!!tch, pleeze." Those Greenspans did not receive my filing because I did not live in Lancaster during 2005. I resided in the YC from April 2004 to May 2006. So, duh, I filed my local taxes in 2005 with YC.

I tried to call LCTCB today to rectify the situation but had zero luck getting through to them. Some recorded message citing a switch issue. Ugh.

Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau? I wish they would "collect" a case of the swine flu! Ahh bitc...

Well,well,well,

This comment has been reading my mind every since i've opened this letter september 14 2009 from LCTCB. I've filed my taxes every year. According to their final non-filer notice i've recieved it states 05,06,07. Hmmmmm if this was really the case i'm wonder why i haven't recieved such letters from the jurisdiction/county i live in now since 2006 and besides that i moved down south between 05-06 and haven't had any probs at all with mail stating such things...I to can't reach anyone down at LCTB this is an unecessary worry and makes no sense. Giving there calculation of years on my notification would have been almost 5 years ago long time for my jurisdiction not that i reside now not to let me know what's going on, not to mention i've only recieved mail from this LCTCB once and it says final notice or prosecution OCT 15 09.

Whoever has recieved this letter and has been trying to contact them but couldn't get through like for 2days straight, try and write them an email at info@lctcb.org.I had to write a long email about this unecessary worry. I don't even know if it will reach but it's like being a great hassle contacting them.hope their email contact isn't the same.

I was able to successfully get through this afternoon. I spoke with a very nice woman and we were able to quickly resolve my issue. The end.

I also, received the notification letter from the LCTCB telling me that I was a "non-filer". I have never in my life lived in or worked in Lancaster County. I called their phone number and got a recording which said to "have my social security number ready" when someone came on the line. I found that to be very odd and hung up. After a few days I decided to call them back but was unable to get through to a real person and was only able to get the recording telling me to have my social number ready when someone came on the line. I find the whole thing very annoying and a giant pain in the ass.

You got these when they crossed everyone in Octorara school district. So if you lived in Chester County but kids would go to Octorara schools you got one. Ridiculous how they wrote the letter but that's government for you.
