Service

One of my pet peeves is when people scoff at the idea of celebrating this man's life and accomplishments. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the face of the civil rights movement. He possessed undeniable strength, conviction, passion and courage. When faced with insults, hatred and ignorance, he advocated equality, respect and peace. He was a wonderful writer and thinker. His life merits honor.
