Big congratulations to your Warwick Warriors - newly crowned District 3 AAAA baseball champions! Warwick defeated Red Land 7-1 in the title game.The Warriors now advance to the PIAA state playoffs. With the Warwick victory, the District 3 AAAA baseball trophy resides in the Lancaster-Lebanon League for the third consecutive year (Manheim Township, Solanco, Warwick). Contrary to what the Patriot-News might think (don't downplay the Warwick win too much), the best high school hardball is clearly played in the L-L League, specifically Lancaster County!
+ Red Land head coach Kyle Wagner was an assistant coach at Etown College my junior year. He was the best, best, best baseball coach I ever played for. Wagner played ball at Wake Forest and had a cup of coffee in the Anaheim Angels minor league system before joining the ol' EC. No coincidence we won the MAC Championship that year. Good to see he has his own head coaching gig and is doing well.
