Oklahoma OK!

Ohhhhhh-klahoma was nice. You really can't go wrong when you visit the Midwest, unless you hit Topeka or Lawrence... or Wamego. The laid back atmosphere and uncongested roads and countryside is very nice. We arrived in OKC with no problems, got hooked up with a sweet '08 Pontiac G6 GT and cruised on up to Stillwater. We stayed a few blocks away from Oklahoma State, close to numerous Sonics and adjacent to a Chick-fil-A. Wow.

Woke up Saturday with some time to kill - the wedding was at 6:00 CT. We explored OSU (not too shabby), but I did not see T. Boone Pickens or Mike Gundy.

I did see Boone Pickens Stadium! (and Gallagher-Iba Arena)

This would be an ideal lounge for the Stillwater Masters. Where's Jim Nantz?

Had lunch at Eskimo Joe's. I'll vouch for the sweet peppered bacon cheese fries. The wedding was nice, but not like the TMK/LRH spectacular. The B/D wedding wrapped in just over two hours!

Stillwater Sonics >>> PA Sonics.

The only regret was not leaving enough time Sunday to visit the Oklahoma City bombing memorial. Overall, Oklahoma was OK and then some.

Oklahoma Sonics? Hmmm...

I know, no reason to change the team name.

OK is the birthplace of the Sonic Drive-Ins. So... goodbye Seattle, hello Oklahoma City Sonics.

Now that's a franchise I can support.

I beg to differ about not going wrong in most of the Midwest. Several of my trashier family members live in Ponka City...it's a cesspool.
