I Should Have Just Watched It Originally

The Heroes season 1 dvd hits stores today. I really liked what I saw from Heroes, although admittedly that is not much. I caught about 15 minutes of the finale and about 5 minutes of an episode during the season. (I did DVR the rerun last night). I was intrigued, but foolishly made the familar 24 my appointment viewing over what was the buzz-generating new show on the primetime block.

So now I'm conflicted. I want to watch Heroes season 2 when it begins airing September 24. But ideally, I'd like to be caught up on season 1. And that would require me coining up $36.99 for the dvd and investing 24 hours and 13 minutes of my time to watch the entire first season (including the un-aired, 73-minute pilot).

I guess I could knock out 2 episodes a night, and try to total 8 or so episodes a week. That's a possibility. That would take 3 weeks to complete, so I really have to sit or get off the pot. Any pro or anti-Heroes people out there? Is it worth the effort?

Heroes is worth the time and effort. I watched the season and was still thinking about buying the season one collection.
