After work this evening - and before I hit F&M's track for a 4-mile jaunt - I stopped by my (new) voting precinct to cast my vote in today's primaries. Approaching the precinct, I was cheered by the three volunteers still hanging around for their candidates. I quickly made my way inside and was greeted by four very cordial voting officials. They asked me how long I lived at my current residence, and what I thought of the neighborhood. They were very friendly and welcoming. I made my way to the booth and filled out my selections, slid the form into the scantron-like machine and voila. I counted. Everyone was happy and the three volunteers at the building entrance cheered my exit and congratulated me on voting. That's how voting should be done.
The only downside was that I didn't get a sticker...again. Oh well.
