USC and Georgetown Better Than UNC

I witnessed firsthand The Monopoly, Jr. (the NCAA) work its dark magic in pushing North Carolina past USC Friday night. USC dominated the first 30 minutes of that game. I was enjoying the dunking exhibition. Taj Gibson and was the truth! But then The Monopoly, Jr. and the refs got involved. "We can't have this west coast squad of black kids pummel and embarrass traditional eastern power North Carolina featuring the great white hope Tyler Hansbrough and every one's favorite good ol' huckster coach Roy Williams," exclaimed The Monopoly, Jr. The refs listened and agreed. Thus, Gibson collected his 4th foul midway through the second half and the tide turned. Without Gibson absolutely dominating, UNC went on a run and eventually took over.

I thought the same situation would happen Sunday with Georgetown. Conversely, for about 30 minutes it seemed like Carolina would prevail. Hoya foul trouble, a big rebounding edge to UNC, Georgetown's hot shooting would have to cool down sometime. Not the case. No doubt Big John Thompson and "Big" Pat Ewing had a hand in keeping The Monopoly, Jr. in check. Jeff Green is a player. And Roy Hibbert may be the most gawky, dangly, awkwardly dominant hoopster since Mutombo.

georgetown has one player from california and one player from chicago, the rest are from the east coast. if it's conspiracy theories you are after, you may want to google "jeff green" and "travel" for some interesting information.

My hypothetical NCAA conspiracy against USC was they were a west coast school (east coast bias) filled with black kids up against UNC featuring Tyler H. and Roy Williams.

My hypothetical NCAA conspiracy against Georgetown was soley based on them being black kids. Both G-town and Carolina are east coast schools.

Concerning G-town, Vandy and Jeff Green's disputed walk, do you really think the NCAA and CBS wanted to see Vandy v. UNC when they could have Georgetown v. UNC?

5 foul foul-outs are a joke. Yet another in the long list of reasons the NC2A is garbage.

In fact I would support doing away entirely of foul-outs on all levels of basketball. The original reasons for implementing the foul-out really don't apply anymore. Fining heavily any NC2A coach who deploys "goons" (and looks like an owl and threatens to kill John Callipari) and NBA players who foul with excessive force should be adequate. Then, just let the players decide the outcome.
