'Melo Gold?

It's too bad this FIBA World Championship is being played in Japan during the overnights/early morning EST zone. USA basketball's effort and play should be getting them back in the American public's good graces. But it's mostly going unnoticed. Except for me, and possibly Brett.

But how can you not like a team featuring 'Melo, LeBron, D-Wade, Dwight Howard, the Bosh, Chris Paul? Even if it is coached by Coach K.

You mean to tell me the evil empire can't throw this tape-delayed on the mothership or the duece on a weeknight, in place of competitive darts, poker, or the WNBA? C'mon. P.S. the LL World Series is beyond played out.

Anyway, this is supposed to be a pro-Team USA post, not a anti-Coach K or ripping ESPN post. So, go Team USA!
