NBA Draft

Anyway, last night was the NBA Draft. The Association's annual selection meeting is always entertaining tv faire...although it was a lot more "entertaining" and "tolerable" when it was on TNT. I can't say I watched a lot of it (it was laundry night), but I did see picks Farmar through Craig Smith (26-36). Some thoughts...

- I think Bargnani is Italian for "bust".

- Love the Bulls getting Tyrus Thomas.

- Sheldon Williams at #5?!?! Wtf, Atl?! And I've been looking for a picture of Ken Griffey, Jr. when he was on The Simpsons post-nerve tonic to post and make fun of Sheldon Williams with. Because he looks like animated Ken Griffey, Jr. suffering from giganticism. Oh well, Adam Morrison looking like a pedophile will have to do.

- What the heck happened to Isiah Thomas?

- Give me Marcus Williams or Jordan Farmar over Rajon Rando at the point one-million times and twice on Saturday.

- Not excusing anything, but...Marcus Williams has a superb junior season, but falls to 22 because of that laptop thing. Meanwhile, J.J. Redick gets busted for a DUI a couple weeks before the draft and gets rewarded by being the 11th dude (too high) selected in the whole shabang? I smell a double standard.

- I'm a little disappointed Eric Hicks didn't get picked.
