Aha! It's reassuring to see that I'm not the only one that thinks Pickler is putting on a country bumpkin act (although I'll credit myself with being the first). Send that fraud packing, post haste!

I'd like to go on the record regarding Pick Pickler: She might not be as "dumb" as she let's on because what everyone considers "dumb" hasn't really been that "dumb". She just doesn't have an interviewee switch that she turns on and off like most people, so she ends up talking about calimari and spiders rather than saying "I just wanted to have fun" or "Yes, definitely."
I didn't say she was dumb. She's as smart as an old country fox for combining her "aww, shucks" and "I have a sad story" personas into something that strikes a cord with most of the American public.
And the point of my Pickler comment was to suggest that possibly more of America is starting to realize she is putting on an act - not that she is really that dumb.
