PSP-osterous!
I [finally] received mine Friday and managed to have the willpower not to break it out until yesterday after work. Actually, I didn't have anything to play until I bought Madden '06 Monday over lunch. The PSP is so sleek and so convenient. The graphics pop, it delivers satisfactory sound. I've only begun to realize it's possibilities. I hope the studios and gamemakers keep it coming with new releases.
Madden '06 - so real
So I bought Madden '06 yesterday and popped it in the PSP. I had to be true, so my first game I was the Phila Eagles against the CPU Cleveland Browns. My Eagle offense was quite hot-and-cold (I'm learning the game) and, quite frankly, my kicking game was horrendous. Down 17-13 in the 4th, ol' #5 put together a ten play, 64-yard drive that he capped with a 1-yard sneak to go up 20-17 with under a minute left. It was vintage 2002-2003-era McNabb. The Eagles D did the rest - Philly 20, Cleveland 17.
R.I.P. #5's 2005 season. Pour out a little liquor.
My next game I had to try the Michael Vick experience in PSP. I figured so many people hype Vick, he had to be a video game freak. Let him just tear up the Houston Texans. Errrr. It was more of the same Ron Mexico. The teams played to a scoreless first half (in which Vick fumbled once - but the defense bailed him out). The Texans took a 3-0 lead in the fourth. Vick subsequently suffered a fourth quarter meltdown, fumbling once and throwing two picks on three consecutive drives. Final score - Houston 20, Atlanta 0. Vick hit the showers with a stellar 1.3 QB rating.
Vick postgame. Videogame Vick is supposed to be unworldly...so I had to hurt him. Oh well, there's always Blitz: The League.
