Bob Huggins asked to resign today as head coach of UC or he will be fired. Sickening. Unacceptable. Dumb. Betrayal. UC Prez Nancy Zimpher obviously wants to knock UC hoops back to mid-major status upon its first season in the new Big East. Nice timing, broad! An infinite amount of boos in your direction.

Back in the day, Huggs was one of the main factors in gaining my devotion to University of Cincinnati basketball. Well, him, the black unis, a program that was perceived to be renegade, the Huggs' thugs moniker. Sitting at my parent's kitchen table working on some middle school project, I first caught Huggs and UC. I think they were playing Xavier. I seem to remember Tyrone Hill and Aaron Willliams on X. Anyway, I saw the black unis, the C-paw, the press, Huggs intense courtside - I was hooked.
