Sad States

Like most, I've been paying attention to the catastrophic events that hit LA/MS/AL this week. And since I have a TV in my office, the media coverage has pretty much saturated me.

I got to thinking...I wouldn't have left. I would stay - it would be fun and an adventure. I would have stayed, because:

1. I am anti-authority. If someone tells me - er recommends that I do something, I am usually inclined to do the opposite.
2. I value my property. I would want to protect/make sure everything was okay/keep an eye on my stuff.
3. I thought it would be fun and adventurous to weather the storm.

I'm glad I don't live in Louisiana or Mississippi. My heart goes out to all who suffered tremendous loss. I hope the affected areas can recover, rebuild and be back to normal asap. But I realize they have a very, very long road ahead to any normalcy. Stay civil and stay strong.
